AHC Sales Territory Account Manager

American Holt seeks a Sales Territory Account Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have an assigned territory of approximately five domestic large cities. Travel will be 50% of the time to visit factories and attend trade shows. The rest of the time will be in our office in Norwood, MA. Prior business travel experience a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:The Sales Territory Account Manager will work out of the Norwood office. S/he will proactively contact existing, inactive and prospective customers by phone and will gather information to uncover qualified sales opportunities. Responsibilities will include accurately tracking sales and updating the CRM.

The Account Development Manager is responsible for building relationships with our customers and ensuring the quality of our service. The ADM resolves customer concerns and issues and manages customer feedback to improve the way customers engage with American Holt. 

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; enjoy spending his/her day on the phone interacting with customers and prospects to learn about them and their needs; desire to grow with the job and assume greater responsibilities; be a team player with a good sense of humor. Knowledge of our industry is not required, but a willingness to learn is. A Bachelors’ Degree is preferred as is five or more years of work experience. Must be able to work 20 - 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and 12 months a year.

Now Hiring a SolidWorks CAD Detailing/GD&T Specialist
Are you looking to leverage your machine shop experience? The Machinist/CAD professional will generate detail drawings in SolidWorks and report to the Director of Engineering.

The successful candidate with have:
  • a minimum of five years as an A/R machinist specializing in precision machined parts 
  • developed solid models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
  • knowledge of Configurations and Custom Properties within SolidWorks
  • strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and know how to apply to detail drawings for manufacturing
  • ability to set-up drawings and detail views for manufacturing
  • proficiency with hand measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and various gauges
  • strong math skills.
Experience with metrology equipment is a plus (CMM, digital height gauges, video inspection systems, etc.) as is experience drawing/manufacturing cams and gears.

Overview

The Marketing Manager at American Holt will report to the president and be responsible for working with the sales and engineering teams to develop and implement marketing plans to support and grow the business.

 The Marketing Manager should be capable of growing a $10M+ business portfolio with specific areas of focus in promoting new product lines and acquiring new customers for our existing product lines.

 The ideal candidate will possess the right mix of business development skills along with the ability to influence and work across functional boundaries and effectively relate both areas to internal and external customers.  This position offers the candidate an opportunity to create novel solutions and grow a dynamic business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and track marketing campaigns to support business objectives;
  • Work with the sales team to develop tactical plans to drive the business;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years experience in marketing with demonstrated successful leadership and managerial responsibility.  MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with leading teams of people/networks and project management including working with graphic artists, web designers and printers;
  • Evidence of good communication skills and of building good relationships with customers.
  • Commercial/marketing experience or experience of a customer facing role.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Someone who is happy at work and has a sense of humor.

American Holt seeks a proactive, hands-on Quality Control Inspector with demonstrated experience in the inspection of precision machined mechanical parts to work in our Norwood, MA office.

Overview

The successful candidate will have previous experience with the inspection of precision machined parts. Because the QCI will be working closely with other inspectors it is crucial that he/she possess a strong knowledge of inspection techniques including the proper setup of parts to determine geometrical accuracy. The QCI will need to be extremely detail oriented, well organized, and a mentally organized professional.

 

Responsibilities

  •          Reviewing inspection reports and entering data into a database;
  •          Develop and maintain inspection forms and written operating procedures;
  •          Be proficient with a wide assortment of metrology equipment;

 Qualifications

  •          Associates degree in a technical discipline or 5 additional years of work experience;
  •          A minimum of 5 years (10 years without AS degree) of quality control experience required;
  •          Previous experience with the inspection of precision machined parts;
  •          Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and inspection techniques;
  •          Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and how it applies to mechanical components;
  •          Working knowledge of manufacturing processes of machined parts;
  •          Proficient in math;
  •          Able to read and understand detail mechanical drawings for manufacturing to exacting specifications;
  •          Detail oriented and possess a high level of organization;
  •          Ability to determine the most accurate method of measuring complicated features;
  •          Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Access and Outlook;
  •          Familiar with ISO standards and Quality measures;
  •          Ability to effectively use Micrometers, Calipers, Sine Bars, Durometer Testers, Rockwell Hardness Testers, Profilometers, Digital Height Gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machines
  •          Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
