The Engineering Process
Step 1 - Sample Received
Every item we make whether it's an item stocked for our catalog, or an item stocked for your special use, begins with a new or used sample you send us.

Step 2 - Reverse Engineering
After receiving your sample we determine properties such as its dimensions, functionality, hardness, and material composition.

Step 3 - Blueprinting
From the reverse engineering data, all parts are blueprinted and toleranced according to international standards.

Additionally, we produce a 3D model of all parts.

Step 4 - Cost Estimate
Customers will receive an estimate for the price of the finished part. It is typical to expect a discount of at least 15-30% versus the OEM, with higher discounts as purchase quantities increase.

Step 5 - Production
When customers agree to the price the product, it is manufactured. After passing a quality inspection, it is stocked in the warehouse at American Holt. Parts typically ship the same day.
