Many of the products that American Holt manufactures feature innovations designed exclusively by us. This page illustrates some of the improvements we have engineered into our products over the years, and will be updated to include additional success stories in the future.

Problem #1
The OEM printer gears utilize a single keyway design that requires constant maintenance to ensure acceptable print registration. This means more downtime and expense.

Solution #1
We reengineered our printer gears to utilize a 42 tooth spline in place of the single keyway. This has resulted in improved color registration and no downtime due to replacing keys.

Problem #2
The OEM anti-backlash system utilizes a split gear. Once it is adjusted and set, the gears are bolted together in a fixed pattern. This does not allow for expansion due to temperature changes.

Solution #2
We reengineered our split anti-backlash printer gears to utilize adjustable spring loaded tension for constant pressure between the gears. This provides superior color registration on two and three color printing jobs and results in a better product and fewer reruns.
